Town Planners

P6 pupils had the opportunity to learn about town planning with a Shape City Competition which helped them remember the names of different 3D shapes.

All four classes planned their towns carefully then got to work making perfect 3D shapes for the desired buildings. One class built a very well structured Shape City, one made a Victorian town, one took into account of who would be judging and called theirs Gibsonville and the fourth made Cube-a.

There was a lot of secrecy along the corridor whilst everything was being built but, on judging day, everything was unveiled and Miss Gibson scrutinised the four entries.

Each of the four towns won one or two categories in her tight criteria and everyone was happy with the results.

Very well done to all pupils involved in the competition!
