Art and Design Hub 2019

Former pupils joined current pupils in the Art Department to share their experiences of studying and working within the creative industries.

Senior pupils enjoyed taking part in a series of workshops hosted by Joanna Susskind (C2002), Raphael Selby (C2011), Kirsten Mitchell (C2017), Olivia Taylor (C2015) and Lucy Dickie (C2016) to gain insights into architecture, jewellery, textile and product design and animation.

The FPs discussed the fascinating background to their roles and their day to day lives working and studying in the creative industries.

The new event arranged by the Art Department is designed to provide pupils with a greater insight and understanding of how creative thinking can be applied in the wider world of work.

A lot was learned and pupils had the opportunity to ask lots of questions at the end of each session.

Thank you to our FPs for sharing their interesting work and tricks of the trade with our current art pupils.
