Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games Official Training Venue

Partnership showcases the world-class facilities available at Hutchesons’ Grammar School.

Now that the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games have concluded, we are delighted to announce that Hutchesons’ Grammar School was selected as an official training venue for the Games.

Over the past two weeks, we welcomed world-class athletes from different countries competing in netball and various track and field sports, including pole vault and long jump, to our Beaton Road and H@PP campuses.

The partnership also included various upgrades to our already exceptional facilities, including a new world-class, high-performance Mondo section of track, an upgraded long jump track and pit, and resurfaced floors for our indoor sports halls.

“Being selected as an official training venue for the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow demonstrates the outstanding facilities we have available here at Hutchesons’ Grammar School.

“It was a privilege to welcome so many world-class athletes to both campuses, and we thank the Glasgow 2026 team for supporting the smooth operation across the two weeks.

“We now look forward to our pupils returning to school and making full use of the upgraded facilities.”
