We are thrilled to announce another year of excellent examination results for our pupils sitting their Qualification Scotland examinations in 2026.
Key QS 2026 Statistics:
Advanced Higher
Higher
National 5
What do the results mean?
Alongside supportive partnerships with pupils and families at home, our dedicated staff work tirelessly to ensure that pupils’ can achieve their potential. Results are only one part of a pupil’s story at Hutchesons’ Grammar School.
For our S6 pupils, they are now on the next step of their journey. This year’s results mean that 87% of pupils in S6 gained a place at their first-choice university.
University applications were supported by the excellent Grade A results in Advanced Higher – 58.2% of Advanced Highers achieved Grade A.
For our S4 and S5 pupils, they look towards their subject choices for their next examination year and working with our dedicated Careers Department on planning their journey beyond Hutchesons’.
Rector, Mark Ronan, commented:
“We are delighted to share the achievements of our young people in this year’s QS examinations. The results are a true testament of their hard work and dedication, and while we celebrate their academic successes, we are also immensely proud of the independent, curious, and creative individuals our young people are becoming.
“I would like to thank our committed staff who give so much to support our young people to achieve and flourish, not only in examinations, but in everyday life; preparing them for what is beyond Hutchesons’.
“These results could not be achieved without the commitment and support of our families who entrust us with guiding every young person to belong, flourish, and achieve.
“At Hutchesons’, we aim to deliver a rich, inclusive, and future-focused educational experience where every learner is known, valued, and achieves their full potential.”
