Nitte Visitors 2019

The school welcomed Adithi (15) and Manohar (15) and their teacher Mrs Shetty from Dr. NSAM English Medium High School at the end of October.

The pupils and teacher from our partner school in Nitte enjoyed having tours of both Kingarth Street and Beaton Road, meeting many Hutchie pupils and staff during their exchange visit to Hutchie.

Adithi, Srinivas and Veena delivered fascinating presentations at assemblies both at the primary and secondary school, including both Indian song and dance.

While here the group enjoyed days out and some sightseeing accompanied by 8 of our S4/5 pupils who will be visiting Nitte at the end of November.

Acting as hosts, our pupils took them to enjoy lots of fun activities including GlasgLOW, The Glasgow Bus Tour and a fun day out in Edinburgh visiting Calton Hill, the Scottish Parliament, the Royal Mile and the Castle. It was a fun and busy week getting to know the Nitte guests. The Hutchie pupils are now looking forward to travelling out to India in a few weeks time.
