Photography up close

Sixth Year pupils studying Higher Photography recently visited Street Level Photoworks to see the current exhibition which focuses on portraiture.

The group had the opportunity to see the work of two British photographers: Steven Berkoff’s documentary style images exploring the Gorbals in the 1960s and Brian Griffin’s imagery of pop icons of the 1980s.

Street Level is a leading Photography organisation which provides opportunities for visual artists and the public to engage with Photography and is an invaluable resource right on our doorstep here in Glasgow.

The Art Department thanked the Street Level team for allowing the Hutchie pupils to come along and learn more about photography.
