S4 pupils shortlisted for Scottish Schools’ Young Writer of the Year

Congratulations to Becca and Owen, both S4, who have been longlisted for the Scottish Schools’ Young Writer of the Year 2019/20.

Pupils were asked to imagine that they were writing a feature or column for an intelligent magazine or serious newspaper.

From a large entry representative of schools in many parts of Scotland, 19 in total were long-listed. The final results will be announced in a special edition of the Scottish Review – www.scottishreview.net – on Monday 24 February.

This is such a prestigious competition, run by the Scottish Review, with the panel of judges including published authors, journalists, newspaper editors, foreign correspondents, broadcasters, university professors and the like.
