Our pupils are celebrating a successful academic year with fantastic SQA results – with 69% of all S5 Highers awarded an A grade.
These strong academic performances from our pupils are made possible by our unique curricular structure that routinely allows the study of six Highers, as well as our continued emphasis on extra-curricular activities.
Rector, Mike Martin, commented:
“I am delighted to note that the focus, dedication, and effort by all our pupils, supported superbly by their teachers, and their parents, has paid off handsomely. The results this year are excellent across Nat 5, Higher, and Advanced Higher examinations. A perfect springboard for future success to study.”
The vast majority of our S6 leavers have once again secured a university place with 91% of pupils being accepted to their first choice. Individual pupil choices remain impressively varied with successful applications to courses in the Arts, Social Sciences, and the Sciences.
We wish our S6 leavers every success for the future as they move on to universities across the UK, including 33% who are attending universities within the Russell Group, and seven pupils accepted to the University of St Andrews.
