J8 Group Colour Run

S4 pupils Suki, Sowmi, Aliha, Alisha, Jessica and Zoya participated in a sponsored Colour Run in October to fundraise for their sister school in Lerala, Botswana.

This was the first event of the year for the pupils and they were extremely successful, raising over £360 whilst having lots of fun for a great cause.

J8 is a school group that works with a school in Lerala, Botswana, to help get children to go to school and stay in school. In order to understand their problems and better help them, the Hutchie pupils write letters to the children in Lerala, talking to them about school.

As well as participating in fundraising events to raise money for uniforms and school materials, this year the pupils have been selling handmade Marula products that are made in Botswana and the pupils will be selling these at many events throughout the school year.

Very well done to our pupils for their fantastic charity effort!
