Fantastic results and our pupils enjoyed learning and working together as a team.
“Activities Week was a wonderful experience for my friends and I, and I’m sure everyone who participated, no matter what activity they did, had an amazing time.
“On the first day, our group went to the Active Ayrshire team and we did some rowing and paddle-boarding, which was very fun.
“We all tried pushing each other off of our paddleboards whilst trying to stay on it ourselves, although almost everyone ended up in the lake eventually. I had a really great time.
“On the second day, I chose to go hill walking with some of my friends, and it was quite tiring at some points, but admiring the spectacular view from the very top of The Cobbler, along with brilliant weather, was worth it.
“The following day, my group and I visited a pop up shop of a children’s charity called ‘Merry-go-Round’, and helped them set up their stalls and goods to sell. We got to meet amazing people and it felt great knowing we were doing this for a good cause.
“The final day, our group went on a bus to Troon Beach and we were given a litter picker and a bin bag, in which we were able to clean the rubbish from around the beach. Of course, we had some ice cream and snacks afterwards, which was fun.
“I am so happy I got the opportunity to participate in Activities Week, I enjoyed myself the whole time, and there was never a dull moment.
“I got to take part in many activities and try out lots of new things during Activities Week. I am so grateful to be given these opportunities.”
